Sports of the Future

Students in the USA came up with some ideas for future sports.

EQUIPMENT

CHANGES  IN SPORTS

  • Thicker football helmets
  • Unbreakable bats
  • Hovering footballs
  • Robotic Players
  • Metal football pads
  • Hovering soccer balls
  • Electronic baseballs
  • Rocket powered spikes
    (Donnie USA)

Jake (USA) liked the idea of metal pads, however, he thought there would be only one problem. He asked, "On rainy days how would you keep the metal from getting rusty?"

Donnie said, "You could coat the pads on clear plastic."

In the future a lot of sports will be different. For
example, instead of facing teams throughout the
country you would face teams throughout the
universe. The next thing would be that the ball
will fly around and you would have to catch it to
score. And the last thing would be that the
uniforms could make you fly so you could catch
the ball. (Jake USA)

I think that a lot of things can be improved in all sports. One thing is: Balls that can't be deflated. I think this should be done because every time you get a ball in a while it will be deflated. They should make the ball and seal it. (Tyler H. USA)

NEW SPORTS

Turfing - This sport is called Turfing. It's Tennis and Surfing combined.  The goal is to surf and do tricks while on the surfboard. You should also balance a tennis ball and racket when you surf hitting it up and down. The goal is to surf and hit the ball up and down for 3 minutes or higher to beat the game.  There are 3 people on the team. One person goes at a time. This is one of the sports I have come up with but I need to improve on my other ones.

A-Grav Vitual VIdeo Game - It's a new game. You ride a super speedy hovercraft through a fiery canyon with a heat
shield . If the shield gets to 500 degrees it deactivates and your hovercraft explodes. There are special balloons you catch to keep the temperature down.
